Combining smart surveillance technology with a motorised optical 5x zoom, the Dahua HFW5231EZE is a cost-effective but feature rich addition to your surveillance system. It supports a 2 megapixel progressive scan CMOS image sensor and image enhancement technology that actively cancels interference while balancing light levels. Smart detections include tripwire, face detection and object removal, helping you detect and identify intrusions and events of interest as they happen.Infrared LED's enable this camera to produce high clarity images at night with a range up to 50 metres, and starlight illumination is able to capture full colour images in extremely low light conditions.

You always have full access to your camera no matter where you are through the integrated app for smartphone and tablet, which allows Live monitoring, the ability to control certain features of your camera as well as playback, setting alarms and smart detections. On board micro SD card storage up to 128GB enables backup recording when the camera is disconnected from the system. The camera features an IP67 weather-proof construction for total protection in any outdoor weather.

Overview
A part of the eco-savvy range of products, Dahua have optimised this camera by upgrading to highly efficient H.265 video compression, which saves bandwidth, storage and thus energy. This series of cameras offers starlight and smart infrared technology, intelligent image analysis technology and comes protected by an IP67 weather proof body that can handle extreme weather conditions.

Starlight Technology
This camera is ideal for applications with challenging light conditions. Its low-light performance delivers usable video with minimal ambient light. Even in extreme low-light conditions, Starlight Technology is capable of delivering colour images in near complete darkness (0.006 lux).

Supports POE Power Over Ethernet
No need for power sockets for each camera. Both power and video transmission are provided through one single ethernet cable from NVR to camera, making installation fast and easy.

Wide Dynamic Range
This camera is equipped with industry leading wide dynamic range (WDR) technology, which produces vivid pictures even in the most intensely contrasted lighting conditions. It’s ideal for applications where both bright and low lighting conditions change quickly. True WDR (120dB) optimises both the bright and dark areas of a scene at the same time to provide usable video.

Intelligent Video System (IVS)
With built-in intelligent video analytics this camera has the ability to detect and analyse moving objects for enhanced video surveillance. It has the ability to detect multiple object behaviours such as object removal, and also supports Tripwire analytics, allowing the camera to detect when a pre-determined line has been crossed, ideal for business surveillance. IVS also supports Face Detection, for searching or identifying individuals.

Environmental
With a temperature range of -30 °C to +60 °C (-22 °F to +140 °F), this camera is designed for extreme temperature environments. Subjected and certified to rigorous dust and water immersion tests, the IP67 rating makes it suitable for demanding outdoor applications. For environments with rain, sleet, snow and fog, an integrated wiper provides users with clear visibility at all times.

Protection
Supporting ±30% input voltage tolerance, this camera suits even the most unstable conditions for outdoor applications. Its 4KV lightning rating provides protection against the camera and its structure from the effects of lightning.

Smart H.265+
Deliver high quality video without straining the network, Smart H.265+ is the optimised implementation of H.265. The Smart H.265+ encoding technology includes a scene adaptive encoding strategy, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI, flexible multi-frame reference structure and intelligent noise reduction, providing savings of up to 70% of bandwidth and storage when compared with standard H.265.

Region of Interest 
ROI is a video intelligence innovation designed to maximise image quality, network bandwidth and storage capacity. The system can monitor an allocated region in full high definition, such as number plates or faces, while lowering resolution in less important parts of the image, for example the sky.
